Today is packing day! The reason I like long cruises best is that I can truly unpack and relax. The last cruise day always seems like a wasted day so, as far as I am concerned, a long cruise is best. I am now also convinced that cruising west is much more fun than cruising east. The time changes have all stacked up and I am exhausted most days.
We are almost to Seattle and the cruise is coming to a close and it will be time to reenter society again. This is the part of the cruise that I dread the most. Room service breakfast was right on time. I'm all done with the casino so I skipped that visit today and just grabbed the sudoku puzzle for the day.
I planned to watch the Debarkation Presentation live on the TV while I packed but they didn't play it on the TV. Spoiler: They replayed it all day afterwards and I didn't need to go to the theater at all.
I grabbed a light lunch at the buffet and decided to spend what was left of my on board credit on a donut from the coffee shop.
My last night in the main dining room and it was a great menu and festive atmosphere.
Everyone rushed to my side of the ship to see the whales out the window! I couldn't get a picture but it was really neat to see it!
I always try to grab a picture of the crew who really did a great job so I can mention them in the post cruise survey.
The last night show was typical carnival where the crew comes down to a standing ovation. On this ship it was a parade of flags for all the nationalities on board.
By 9:15 it was clear I needed to add my luggage to the hallway like everyone else. It will magically disappear and I will collect once I get off the ship.
I'm really hoping I can sleep, because it never seems like I get much sleep on the last night. I'm so glad that I take these long cruises!
Happy Cruising!
