Diamond Princess Day 17: 1 Mar 2023 Day at Sea

Diamond Princess Day 17: 1 Mar 2023 Day at Sea

I woke up and headed up to the back of the ship to see the sun rise over the pool on deck 12. Today was Huevos Rancheros for breakfast day in the dining room. Since I really prefer the Huevos Rancheros on NCL, I skipped breakfast in the dining room and headed to the buffet.

At 9AM, I headed down to the theater to prepare for the 9:30 Aloha 'Oe Hawaiian Farewell show. One thing they do here is a show with Ukulele and Hula students on the main stage. I took some pictures from the back stage back row as we were practicing. The show went until about 10:15 but we all stayed around and talked until they kicked us off the stage.

Lunch in the dining room was Fritto Misto. I'm not really sure how I missed taking a picture but I have posted a picture of that before.

I walked a round a bit and caught part of the crew versus passenger challenge, and the spelling bee, but after my grand performance in the morning, I basically wanted a nap.

I personally called everyone that had put their stateroom number on the meet and greet form since not everyone has Internet on the ship. Then I managed to go down to the loyalty manager Liz and let her know that we were a go for the cruise critic meeting tomorrow. Somehow the afternoon slipped away like the water under my balcony and soon it was dinnertime again.

I started with the Chilled Russian Borst.

I had Veal Scallopini for the main. I must say it was not attractive but it was delicious!

For dessert, I had the Crusty Banana Tart with Hazelnut Streusel and chocolate ice cream.

I've really been trying to cut down on the massive amount of calories but the food is delicious. I went our for a walk on the promenade deck, and the captain announced that the sunrise should be especially good tonight.

So instead of my lovely peaceful sunset, tonight there was a huge crowd. The sunset was lovely.

I headed back to mid-ship into a lawn chair under a blanket for the movie under the stars with popcorn. Tonight's movie was Morbius but I was mostly just enjoying the weather.

All in all, it was another lovely day at sea. You really can't go wrong with the South Pacific.

Happy Cruising!
