Carnival Luminosa Day 8: April 19, 2023 Sea Day

Welcome to April 19 all over again. Room service arrived a bit early at 755. Unfortunately, they forgot the yogurt and cream cheese today. Down to get puzzle at Java Cafe. Then to casino to spin $5 of free play. At this point, I have dipped into $10 of my $250 shareholder credit. I made the trip up to get a breakfast burrito.
I have a good system. A banana comes every day and I set it out to ripen. If I want pears or apples, I have to wait for lunch to grab them and hoard them in the room for breakfast the next day. It seems strange how they ration things here to specific times and places.
I missed the towel folding demo but I was able to get to the disco dance lesson. Maybe they need to offer dance lessons for remedial students as I can never keep up with dance lessons on the ships.
The carnival hub app is all confused because of the date line. It thinks it is Wednesday but we are using Thursday's schedule. They told me to log out and back in and now it is worse.
Luckily I was able to check in for lunch and I got a nice table near the aft window. Many prople were upset in line because they didn't check in and people who did were zipping in before them.
I was looking at a different lunch menu for a different day and so I needed go open the app and make different selections. I think they switched to the app to minimize people touching the same things. However, I bet more people get sick from touching their phones and then eating. Think about where that phone goes wlith you during the day. YUCK!
Perhaps they should just post the menu out front in the lobby so everyone could get a sneak preview. Low tech but I really enjoyed that perk on Princess.I ordered Tuna, a salad,, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and flan.
Went to the gym to walk on the treadmill for a bit. Back to room to pass out. Last night the room next door was coughing in the middle of the night for an hour. I slept well on my nap.
Calamari, seafood quiche, baby beet salad.
I ordered Beef Wellington for my main but before I could get it the waiters danced which delayed my meal. I wish they would delay the dance until everyone had their food. I need to check but it feels like they dance every night. The Beef was very tasty and is probably the best meal I have had so far on this ship.
I had cappuccino pie for dessert.
There was a mentalist show at 7:30 named Tim Motley. They always have people write a bunch of numbers and do a bunch of crazy things. That said, his show was entertaining. I did enjoy it. I must say Carnival has not disappointed me in the show department.
We have another time change tonight so I browsed the 4 movie channels to see if there was anything I hadn't seen. At this point, I have seen a bit of every movie being shown to us. I watch the carnival ceuise channel, HGTV, and the travel channel the most.
Happy Cruising!
