Carnival Luminosa Day 5 April 17, 2023 Sea Day

Woke up at 7:30AM to hammering in the hallway. 3 engineers were fixing trim, with the time change it is 8:30. I adjusted my clocks and headed down to the Casino for a nice cup of coffee. After just a few button pushes on a slot machine I was down $10 of free play. I will call that the evil panda machine.

I grabbed a sudoku and daily program from the coffee bar.
I took a shower and checked in for breakfast in the dining room. 20 to 30 minute wait... ugh. I finally got into the dining room about 1110.
It took 17 minutes to finally order coffee when they finally came to check with me. Shortly afterwards I was finally able to order what was now lunch.

I ordered a breakfast parfait and a cheeseburger with cookie for dessert. I also ordered vanilla ice cream which never came. The parfait was good. The burger was Ok. The cookies were the same ones from the buffet.
Since it was past noon, I didn't get a chance to go to the lecture on th animals of Fiji. I decided to relax and watch the ocean in my stateroom and that turned into a nap. I wish I had packed my hammock for the balcony because it would be easy to set up.
At 2:30 I decided I wanted to get some fruit. All the buffets were closed! I had to go to tea time unless I wanted pizza or a sandwich or another burger. I will lose weight on this cruise.
Tea was good and I sat with a couple from Connecticut and a  solo woman from California. We spent a nice hour socializing and them I had to get ready for early dinner.
I've noticed that since they don't print the "Fun Times", they still print a one page schedule of events that doesn't have many details. The app is also lacking detail. Instead, rhe cruise director comes over the intercom every few hours to tell you what is going on. Today has seemed very noisy since my early wake up to hammering outside my cabin.

I ordered Grilled Chicken Fajita Salad And Nachos for an appetizer, 

Enchiladas for the main, and Rice.pudding for dessert. While waiting for the main a magician came and did a card trick and a trick where he guessed the name of a pet.

Dinner was delicious.

After dinner I went to customer service to get 10 hours of internet added back on since it wasn't working. (It didn't work until 4am the next day)

Went to the show to guess music titles from song clips, then played backwards, then with the audience acting out the song to guess the artist, then next 5 words of the song. It was entertaining.

Went up to see movie under the stars and smelled pop corn. A small bag was $4! No thanks!

Went to the buffet and finally had a chance ro get some pictures.

I'm feeling really spoiled by Princess and NCL.

Is this because it   is a rebranded ship? Did they give away too many $250 cruise fares? What do you think?
