Carnival Luminosa Day 3: April 15, 2023 Sea Day

I woke up a bit late today as my body slipped into one if the sea comas where my heart rate drops to 52 beats per minute. I love it when that happens. When I checked the TV we had covered 500nm and had a sea depth of 1000m and 3600 nm to Hawaii. It is nice to have this dashboard on the TV.

During my walk I grabbed a coffee and thinned it out with a bit of water to make it drinkable. Even though it was 8am all the nice round chairs on serenity were claimed buy only a few had actual people in them.

I headed to the Casino to find out about free play. Unfortunately the cashier didn't open until 9am. However, I was the big winner because I found a place to get tasty brewed coffee every day.
I checked out the buffet but it really doesn't look appetizing. There are 4 buffet spots for breakfast that all serve the same basic things. There is also the breakfast burrito bar. I love a breakfast burrito but the ingredients appear to be sitting out for hours.

I went to the dining room again and ordered a yogurt parfait and huevos rancheros. They came with 3 different salsas but no guacamole or sour cream. I will be sure to add that to my order next time.
As my first 24 hour clock was ticking out on Internet, I was able to make phone calls to check my voicemail. I also made test calls on whatsapp. The quality was best on whatsapp video than the audio call .

I had a lazy day and did not attend the lecture on flora a fauna of New Caledonia. Instead I had a burrito which was very tasty. The Luminosa may not have a Blue Iguana Burrito Bar but it is basically exactly the same.
The afternoon was lazy time spent watching the ocean go by in the sun. I went to a 70s and 80s music trivia and identified all song titles and artists except a couple. I put Kool and the Gang instead of Village People. I couldn't remember Toni Basil's name. I put Rick Springfield instead of Rick Astly. There were a couple people who were 100% and they went a few more songs to break the tie.
I went to the Casino and had them load my $25 of free play. Since it was really smoky, I decided to play another time.
Soon I took my second shower to get ready for dinner. Something notable is that they no longer print the daily newsletter. Instead they make announcements 4 or 5 times a day to tell you what is going on. It makes this otherwise quiet ship seem very noisy.

At dinner, I ordered escargots, a salad, stuffed portobello mushrooms, and panna cotta. The escargots were delicious but it was strangely presented. The main dish of stuffed mushrooms was appetizer sized. I ordered a second main of Sydney Market fish whatever that is but it tasted good.

The show was Belinda Marks and she sang a variety of songs and did a great job.
After the show, I headed back to the room and watched a bit of the travel channel and passed out.
