Diamond Princess Day 21: 5 Mar 2023 Day at Sea

I woke up and opened the curtains in order to watch the stunning sunrise. Then I headed out for my morning walk. First, I headed down to the dining room to check the breakfast menu.

The daily special, Eggs Florentine, didn't interest me so I headed down to the coffee bar on deck 5 and finished my daily sudoku puzzle.
I assembled a breakfast sandwich in the buffet (they cooked the fried eggs to my preference) and I had some granola with yogurt.
I did some research about day use hotel options at Haneda airport and I also looked at luggage storage options. I'm on the fence about touring Tokyo or just staying at a hotel at the airport and having a stress free day.
At 11AM, I watched the crew versus passengers in a beer pong competition in the atrium. The crew did a fine job and all ages were welcome. It was very funny even when the crew won.
I ate a quick lunch in the buffet and headed to my stateroom for a lazy afternoon staring at the ocean. There are tons of movies on demand to choose from. I had been watching a movie that I started up on the deck under the stars and today I finished it. I'm still seriously bummed about missing Saipan yesterday.
The good news is that Walt has already refunded my payment via paypal. He also told me that the last cruise to be scheduled in Saipan was cancelled in January of 2020 right before COVID. The folks in Saipan that depend on tourism must be seriously bummed we didn't stop yesterday.

Before long, it was time for dinner. For a starter, I had the crab cake and strawberry smoothie.

My main course was Seared Diver Scallops.
Dessert was the Chocolate and Caramel Tart.
Right after dinner, I headed to the theater for the Princess Crew Talent Show. Even the cruise director Sophie sang a song. The crew did a great job and it was very entertaining.
I headed quickly to the Liars Club game which was hosted in the Explorers Club. There were several words given to the players. It was up to the audience to determine which definition was real and which ones were fake. They did a great job and it was funny. That said, Cruise Director Dan from the Bliss cruise in February is still the funniest participant I have seen.

Princess really did it up with props. There were laminated cards for the teams to use to drop into the "voting booths". Princess was much more high tech than NCL in this respect. I wonder if this was a game show on Princess first?
After the show, I headed up to the deck to see if the movie under the stars was interesting... when it was just another Marvel movie, I headed down to the room to relax and watched a movie on demand until I fell asleep.

Happy Cruising!!
