Diamond Princess Day 4: 15 Feb 2023 Day at Sea

I had to work at 1AM so I got up w bit earlier to join the meeting. I headed down to the Internet cafe because everything on the ship is closed. My android phone didnt ever actually join

It said "connecting......."

I teied the iphone. Same issue.

I ran back to my stateroom and grabbed my laptop. App update required. By this point I am late for the meeting by 10 minutes. Forunately I was able to join from the browser and the meeting went well.

At 5am, I was finally able to sleep.

I had a laxy day. I was able to grab a bit of breakfast and two coffees before ukulele class.

I'm very optimistic about the ukulele class. The instructor is much more drill drill on chords but it is really good to switch between the chords and tbey stick better in my memory. He has been doing this a long time.

Afterwards, I watched the crew playing cornhole against the passengers.

Then, I grabbed some.lunch. i go to the dining room with the intentions of eatling light and always eat top much. I had a tuna melt and Baba au Rhum which was very yummy.

I made it back.to the room and explored the movie selections available on demand. There were so many to choose.from, I just turned.off the TV and slept.

I woke.up thinking it was time for.dinner because of the time change. Fortunately, it was only 4. 

I had an upgrade alert for my upcpming carnival cruise. Unfortunately, I could never get it to work after the first time I clicked on it. I began to research what I want to do in Hawaii when the ship arrives. 

As usual, I got distracted and was soon rushing to get ready for dinner. I dont like that my reservation is at 5PM. I love that my table is near the window and that I have the same waiter every night. Dinner takes a little.over an hour which is a huge advantage of not dining at a shared table.

Tonight, I had the roasted pineapplle and candied pistachio appetizer, rhe lamb shank, and I ate half.of a banana split.

After dinner, I went in search of a good place to take a sunset picture. I went all the way foraard to the gym. Then all the way aft tl skywalkers.

In skywalkers, I was chatting with the lotalty manager on board who was very nice as she told.me I couldnt be there for the Captains Dinner fot platinum and above. Then I met a lady who said she was the fist woman dewp sea diver in Papau New Guniea and that she had dived all over the world. I seem to be lucky as I meet some really fascinating people on ships. The lotalty manager and I talked to the woman for 15 minutes or so before I finally left.

I grabbed some popcorn from the movie under the stars and headed back to the room. I watched the lecture on sea turtles from the day before before falling asleep for the night.

There is something relaxing about the South Pacific. I felt it on the Jewel in 2019 and I feel it on the Diamond Princess too. Eqch day the breezes get warmer and I rush around less and less. I hope I inspire you to take that cruise to Hawaii or Tahiri
