Norwegian Bliss Day 9: 15 Jan 2023 Sea Days
I slept past 8 this morning and I'm afraid I am getting lazy. The Garden cafe was a madhouse so I hrabbed just the essentials and went down to the nice quiet observation lounge for a couch. Over the next couple hours 3 solos joined me. When it was time for lunch, we all went down to Taste dining room.
Ive learned a few tricks in my cruises. Wheb you order the chicken quesadillas, you can order a side of avocado and really spruce it up.
Right after lunch I went to the shops to grab a picture of whats offered. If you look closely there are no OTC drugs like advil, so pack anything you might need. That alkaseltzer was $8.50!
45 minutes before showtime and we barely got seats for the University of Wisconsin Marching Band show. These kids are great and there are over 300 on the ship for this cruise. This is part of their experience and they do one of these trips somewhere exotic every year.
The show was loud and insane and lots of fun. It was unique and special because you knew each kid was there performing because they loved it. Apparently one show has turned into 4 shows every sea day coming up.
I grabbed a couple hour nap and went to solo social. Pairing with another solo who is platinum gets you 4 specialty meals instead of 2. Tonight I went to Cagney's on one of these platinum vouchers.
On this ship, there is no upcharge for the crabcake. I hadnt ordered it before and it was delicious.
I was able to get a seat in the front row and the Nashville Tenors did a great job. I definitely prefer the second or third row back though.
Then I was able to catch a comedy show by Allison Weber. She sang some parody songs that were about adult topics and it was pretty funny. I was impressed because I dont usually find comedians funny on the ship. Maybe I was just exhausted.
I needed to be up early for a meeting so I called it a night
Happy Cruising!
