Norwegian Bliss: 8 Jan 2023 Day 2 Sea Day

Up a little late today and it was a mistake. Gone are the days when this 4000 passenger ship would have 2000 people on it. There was a huge line waiting to get into Taste and Savor for breakfast. The Garden Cafe was a zoo! I managed to get a table but I'm seriously thinking $5 for preordered room service breakfast might be a luxury worth paying for on this cruise.

I finished breakfast about 10 and headed straight to the Cruise Critic meet and mingle at 10:30. There were 300 passengers signed up. The ships officers introduced themselves and then we had a bingo game where you had to talk to other passengers and find someone who mrt the criteria and write their name down. Once the card was filled, you entered into a raffle for a Starbucks gift card. It was surprisingly fun and we all got to know a lot of passengers. 

Once that was over, I headed to the shore excursions desk to find a few more excursions. I was added to an excursion wait list for Mazatlan. Most of the low cost excursions are sold out at this point.

I took.a shower and headed to Taste for lunch. I am quite disappointed that the menus repeat between ships on Norwegian.

 There is really not a.lot of variety. That said, the food quality is excellent on this ship.

After lunch I did a trivia game and then took a nap in the observation lounge for an hour. You can sort ot.see Cuba out of the windows. This is a gorgeous ship.

Music trivia was not a success. I can hold my own until around the year 2000 and more than half of the questions were recent.

The solo meet up was great. We did a game of two truths and one lie. A few of us headed to the dining room and couldnt get a seat. We were asked to wait on the couch for 15 minutes.

Dinner took a long time- 2 hours but I sat with a couple and their son from England and talked too much but made the time pass quickly.

I went to Majority rules in the Atrium which was great! Im pretty sure we had the same score as the team that won, but the prizes are skippable anyway. I miss Carnival's 24 caret gold piece of ship on a stick as they used to sat.
