Norwegian Bliss: 10 Jan 2023 Day 4 Cartegena, Colombia

Up early this morning in order to grab breakfast in the garden cafe. Then a rush down to the Bliss Theater to wait for the excursion to leave.

I booked Easy Cartegena for a couple reasons. The first, it was the least expensive excursion with my $50 excursion credit. Tbe second reason, it was the only option without a shopping experience. 

I was with a group of older passengers many in scooters. We rode in an air conditioned coach and went to a fort.

At the fort, there were some pretty agressive vendors. I didn't spend too much taling pictures before I hopped back on the bus.

We rode through the city while the guide explained the history of the city as well as a little commentary about current conditions. We saw a Unesco Heritage Site which I think was the old city settlement and the old city wall.

We went to a naval museum and saw a traditional dance show and they gave everyone a choice of water, pepsi, or grape soda.

The bus drove back through the new part of the city before dropping us off in the zoo. We had to walk through the zoo to get back to the ship.

I had lunch in tbe observation lounge before taking a long nap. I tried to wake up for a 70s Line Dance Class but just couldn't get out of bed.

I went down to the Atrium for trivia and it was really difficult. What is a group of unicorns called? Um, nonexistent? No...

I went to the customer service desk to show them my shareholder credit request application and statement that I sent in as soon as I booked the cruise. 

I headed up to the solo social and found out that Henry had set up dinner reservations for 5:30 as well as reservations for us to Six the musical at 7. Even better, we are to meet in the solo lounge at 6:45 so we can get a good spot on the front deck of the ship to see us pull into the first set of locks tomorrow.

Dinner was meh. SIX was a much better show than the last time I saw it. Afterwards, a group of solos went to Liar's Club social club and it was funny.

Strangly enough, the only food available after 9:30 on this ship is in The Local. 

In any case, I needed to call an early night for an early rise.
