Virgin Valiant Lady Day 4: Malaga

This cruise is certainly vastly different than any other cruise I have taken before. I took my hammock with me on my South Pacific cruise so it isn't the hammock. (Note that I love the hammock though) I have cruised a transatlantic before and have visited all of these same ports. The shows are not particularly different so far (I have only seen the mentalist and gone to trivia games so far). What is a really nice change is the focus on health and wellness. You could take this cruise as your yoga retreat. Today, since most of the passengers are off the ship and this is the only time some of these options were available, I spent a day doing the wellness offerings on board.
At 7AM I grabbed a morning stretch which was like relaxing yoga and holding poses and stretches.
7:30 is the time for morning guided meditation. I really enjoyed todays mantra, which was basically translated as I am Love.. or love yourself. It fit nicely with today's theme.
8AM is time for yoga. I didn't stay for yoga as my room service was due to be delivered. I am really sad I missed it. I promise to catch it at least once on the trip.
Room service comes in a bag and delivers in your room. They will leave it outside the door if you don't answer.
There is a $5 delivery charge unless you order something that is a paid item including the $3 cafe americano. I ordered both the free and the $3 coffee. Trust me- that $3 coffee is a great value along with the room service.

I managed to snag a spot in the Bungee class when someone cancelled. I wanted to try them out so I figured my best shot was when the ship was in port.
To sum up the experience, picture 7 adults working out and then swinging like superman going whee on cool downs... yeah, it was like that. I think I am still smiling.
Today I tried Razzle Dazzle for lunch. The waiter told me about a special not on the menu called English Breakfast. It was delicious. Also, I think their coffee is better than the specialty coffee shops board. I chit chatted the waiter who has worked on other ships and just thinks Virgin is the best ever. I wonder if the crew is so happy because they are at 1/3 of full capacity.

Speaking of that, most of the events in the app are fully booked already. If the ship is at 1/3 capacity, what will the experience be for people when the ship is full? Fortunately, it is not my reality today and I will continue to show you the ship.and activities as they happen to me.
The roll out class was very relaxing. Think of it as a self massage training bootcamp. At the very end there was an offer to sell a massage gun for $199 with an hour of free training thrown in.
The breathing class was also very interesting. It started wirh normal.deep breathing exercises and finished with an exercise where we plugged one nostril and breathed in, then switched nostrils and breathed out. I felt incrediy energized and relaxed afterwards. Perhaps I could skip my nap- nah!!!
Gunbae Is a Korean BBQ restaurant experience. First they bring out side dishes and an apertif.
Then they wanted us to play a drinking game with soju. They did not charge for the drinks for you Thrifty Drinkers. I just made.my friends drink my drink whick keeps them happy.
After a few appetizers, they BBQ the main courses right in front of you. The whole.ezpedienxe was fun but the music was too.loud and not Korean at all.

They gave us lettuce to make.lettuce wraps. It was similiar to the food I had eaten in Korean, but not exact.
For dessert there is sesame ice cream with toppings. All.in all this two hour dinner show was tasty and fun!
There was a Blues musician near the wait for the show. I didn't listen for long. I had to get in line for the sold out NSA show.
The show was exploring the boundaries for sure... I was very glad to be in the waiting line because they  the standbys all in the balcony and I had a front row view to the crazy show. I saw it and it was entertaining for sure. The unpredictability of audience participation must make it crazy for the staff.
Afterwards,  I tried to see the rock of Gibraltar but it was all fogged in. I found the employee bar while I was up at the perch trying to see the rock.

It was a great day. The fog that made it impossible to see the roxk of gibraltar also broke the Internet so I needed to post this late.

Happy Cruising!
