Virgin Valiant Lady Day 2: Ibiza

I slept really well last night.... no one running in the corridors that I heard. The staterooms are very quiet. I didn't set an alarm and woke up to many texts and messages in the Virgin app. There are no.announcements over the speakers so it is quiet and relaxing. When we get into.port, the app on your phone tells you how to.leave the ship and that the free shuttle bus will take you into town.
I'm told room service is an option from the app on the phone but I haven't found it yet. I desperately needed coffee so I went up to deck 15 to The Galley Let's Taco Bout It and grabbed an avocado taco and my coffee. In addition, they had nice fruir, granola, and yogurt bento boxes.
The free coffee is not very good but the $4 cappuccino was delicious. NOTE: I did a status match so I get a $10 coffee credit per day.

I spent the morning and early afternoon exploring the ship and discovering little alcoves and spaces that would.easily be overlooked when there were a lot of people back on the ship.
I had an ice cream cone and then grabbed lunch at the sun club cafe
cafe on deck 16. The elevators fore and aft don't go to all the decks and I am using the stairs which is fine because I can skip the gym. (That is what I tell myself)
The best thing I learned is that a lot of people book the yoga, meditation, and resistance classes and then not show up or cancel them. These classes are all sold out way ahead of time. These classes are free but if you book and then no show they charge $10. The bungee class has 8 spots and only two people showed up for the sold out class.

Mid afternoon the pizza place was packed. I ordered a snack and 25 minutes later the buzzer vibrated in my pocket halfway across the ship.
It was tasty. I wish I had known I could customize it with mushrooms, sausage, etc.

I had to rush to get ready for the upper deck party before dinner at the test kitchen.

The test kitchen offered a six course meal over 2.5 hours and was a show as.well as a meal. Each course was presented to us in an interesring way including one wih a smokey reveal.
The six course meal was wonderful. We had 6 30 reservations and the meal took 2.5 hours so we just made it to the show at 9pm.
The mentalist was entertaining and did things like have someone name a card and then pull it out of his mouth. He had people parficipate from the audience and then revealed he had know all the answers since this morning when he woke up.

It was an entertaining and fun day. So far the best part of the ship is the hammock on the balcony. The food is a close second.

I've got 13 more days after today to complete.my review. Let me know if you have questions or comments.

Happy Cruising!
